Search "d2r planner mobile" and you will meet the same handful of desktop-era tools. None of them ship a native mobile app or a phone-first layout — that is not a knock, it is just what exists today. Ranked by what they are actually good for:
| Planner | Strong at | Mobile reality (our assessment) |
|---|---|---|
| Maxroll D2Planner | Build guides ecosystem — plan and share links with the guide corpus one click away | Web app; works in a phone browser, but assumes a mouse for gear drag-drop |
| d2r.org planner | Raw data depth — every class, ~1,172 items, game-data-driven calculations | Same web-app story; its dense panels suit a desktop screen |
| d2planner (GitHub) | Lightweight, open, no-frills skill planning | Most likely to tolerate a small screen; least guidance offered |
| Wowhead's calculator | Big-site integration with item pages | Same web-app caveats |
Long-press a socketed base to list every runeword it can make, with stats. Have the runes? Socket them all in one tap.
Every identified Unique and Set item in a fixed slot, shared across all characters, searchable — a living inventory of your collection.
Gems, runes and materials merged into one page with the crafting grid in the middle. Planning a crafting session happens where the materials live.
In other words: the desktop planner answers "what should I build?" — the port's built-in tools answer "what can I make right now with what I own?" A mobile planning workflow that skips the second question is doing inventory management on paper in 2026.
Whichever you pick: plan once, deeply, on a real screen. Then let the game's Runeword helper and Chronicle do the on-the-phone part — that is what they are for.
As of the versions this guide covers — no native one. The established planners are web apps. The closest thing to a phone-native planning experience is inside D2R Mobile itself: the Runeword helper, Chronicle stash and Trove (see the stack above).
The game underneath is the real D2R — skills, breakpoints and items behave the same, so desktop plans apply directly. What changes is the port's exclusive modes: a plan tuned for the official endgame needs re-tuning for Greater Rift's skill cap of 40 and Elysium's drop rules (see our Greater Rift and Elysium guides).
